CDC signs agreement with Taiwan Government to promote and sponsor "Green" initiatives.

On the 10 anniversary event of Taiwan Architecture & Building Center, the Chairman Hsu Wen-chi of TABC (right) and the IBG executive director Mike Williams signed an agreement on promoting "intelligent and green building". That states the close relationship between CDC and Taiwan government which just released the decision to support four industries including cloud computing, intelligent electric vehicles, intelligent green buildings and patent industrialization by funding them at least 15 billion Taiwanese dollars (appx.300 million pounds) in 6 years.

During 2010-2013, the Taiwan Government will fund the industry of intelligent green building for 400-500 million dollars (23 millions in total 4 years) on promoting the demonstration and integration of the use of intelligent green buildings, and intelligent living space industry alliances and sensor network technology and services.

Hopefully in the year of 2013, the demonstration and integration of intelligent green building can lead an annual output value of 400 million dollars or more; the intelligent sensor industry can bring an annual production value of 30 billion dollars, and advanced sensor technology platforms and applications can carry out the output value 11.5 billion dollars.

TABC is a non-governmental self-founded organization but set up according to the final resolution of the "National Building Conference" held by the Ministry of Interior. TABC does certification and innovation on the field of construction and buildings. The target for TABC for the next 10 years is to innovate and develop the buildings, and integrate into the advanced technology.
